This Corpus Christi native will host a new TV show called ‘To The Rescue’ – Corpus Christi Caller-Times

A Corpus Christi native will host a new docu-series that will follow real stories of dogs and the humans who rescue them.

Tommy Habeeb will host “To the Rescue,”a half-hour weekly syndicated TV series, that will premiere on Saturday, Oct. 17 in more than 200 markets nationwide. In Corpus Christi, the series will premiere at 11 a.m. Saturday on CW.

The show will feature 22 original episodes in its first season and will follow stories that intertwine the work of animal rescue organizations, municipal animal shelters, transporters, behaviorists and foster families.

Habeeb, who is a veteran TV producer and personality, is best known to television audiences as the original host of the long-running syndicated series “Cheaters.” 

But for those in Corpus Christi, the King High School graduate’s best known for his  relation to the owners of Habeeb’s Jewelers, which has been operating in the city since 1956.
