TV shows and movies for spooky season – Point Park Globe – Point Park Globe

Summer is almost over, and before we know it, it will be October, and “spooky season” will be among us. For those of us who don’t want to wait another two weeks, here are some horror and thriller TV and movies to get everyone ready for the Halloween season. 

Dexter: The TV show “Dexter” is about a sociopath who kills people he believes deserve to die. The catch is that he works for the police station to maintain his safety. This show is bingeable and perfect for people who prefer thrillers over horror. All eight seasons of the show are available on Netflix.

American Horror Story: This one is pretty obvious. The popular anthology series is available on both Netflix and Hulu, and there are many seasons to choose from, all great for the Halloween season. 

Supernatural: “Supernatural” is a long-running show about two brothers who fight off, well, the supernatural. The show is actually coming to an end, so now is a good time to start the journey on Netflix. 

Scream Queens: Directed by the same guy that does “American Horror Story,” “Scream Queens” is a slasher comedy about a college campus that is targeted by a serial killer. The show was canceled, but the two seasons it lasted are available on Hulu. 

Pet Sematary: Nothing says spooky season quite like a good Stephen King movie. “Pet Sematary” is about a burial site that brings those buried in
