This October, Amazon is offering up plenty of spooky movies to get you through the Halloween season. Whether you like ghosts ruining your new home, vampires invading your Alaskan town, or old gods that demand blood, Amazon has something for you.
The most notable releases during the month are none other than the Blumhouse/Amazon collaborative films coming out in October. Four of the eight films will release this month. The first two arrive on October 6: Black Box and The Lie. In Black Box, a man who loses his memory and his wife in a car wreck takes a leap and has an experimental treatment done to him which leads him to question a lot about his own life. The Lie follows a teenage girl who kills her best friend, and after she confesses the crime to her parents, they do everything in their power to help cover it up.
On October 13, the other Blumhouse films–Evil Eye and Nocturne–drop. Evil Eye is about a woman who thinks her daughter’s new boyfriend has a dark connection to her past. Nocturne is about a music student who finds a notebook that once belonged to another student who passed away, and there are some supernatural connects to it.
There are also plenty of more familiar movies arriving in October as well that you can watch again. One of the most entertaining horror movies of the past decade, The Cabin in the Woods, arrives on October 1. The film follows a group of teenagers
